Noted funny car and top fuel dragster builder Lil’ John Buttera constructed this hot rod sedan in 1974. Completed in a scant six months, the rod featured a highly tuned 289-cubic inch Ford V-8, a large number of specially fabricated components, and numerous comfort and convenience touches. Hot Rod Magazine documented its construction in a series of stories that described a friendly rivalry between Northern California-based Andy Brizio and Southern California-based Buttera. The car was so well designed and fabricated that enthusiasts have come to regard it as a milestone in hot rod development.
