What is the least expensive steering box to replace the stock one on a 1954 gmc so that a small block will fit ?

I have a 1953 Chevy pickup and also want to upgrade my steering. If I purchase the kit you reference, will I still be able to use my original steering column?

This would be adaptable to a stock automatic or floor shift column. You would have to cut the original steering shaft and fit it for a universal joint. Pretty simple to do.

This would be convenient to a inventory automated or ground move pillar. You would have to cut the unique guiding base and fit it for a worldwide combined. Simple to do.
