Hi all,
recently I purchased the CPP Classic Fit tilt column and after getting it into my project I noticed that there is a lot of slop in the shifter. I can pull the shifter lever past reverse before the arm at the other end of the shaft starts to move. Also shift collar (that the shifter goes into) is very wobbly.
Any ideas?

Thanks

I am based in the UK and I have recently purchased a TC-30-SC steering column. I have the same problem with a very floppy shift lever, the spring measures 7/8" long and it does not make hardly any contact with the shift lever. I can pull the lever and move from park to drive without any spring resistance, surely this is not correct. Looking at the assembly instructions the lever in the image is flat on the underside but the shift lever that i have been supplied with has an angle on the underside. I telephoned Jeff @ CPP the other day, sent him an email with pics, sent another email yesterday but still no response, perhaps someone on here can assist

thanks
