Design Engineering Inc. (DEI) has announced the release of its new Under Hood Thermal Lining. The product was, according to the company, primarily designed for engine compartments as a way to greatly reduce heat and noise with a peel-and-stick application as extreme engine heat and noise are often a problem in modified vehicles featuring high-performance components.
Made of ¾-inch-thick industrial-acoustic-grade foam with a reinforced aluminum covering, Under Hood Thermal Acoustic Lining not only insulates the underside of hoods but also serves as a sound deadener and thermal control while protecting paint finishes, according to DEI. The product can also be for noise control on generator boxes and various industrial applications, such as HVAC.
