Hotchkis has introduced new geomety-correct sport leaf springs for 1967–1976 Mopar A-body muscle cars that are designed to improve balance, traction and ride height. The springs are specifically made to reduce roll steer in Darts, Dusters, Valiants and Baracudas and will improve handling response and balance, as well as reduce axle wrap, according to the company.
The new kit features a Hotchkis Geometry Correcting Bolt-In Relocation Bracket that’s paired with 130 lbs./in. lightweight lower springs. The sport leafs have been designed to improve straight line acceleration and traction and work as part of an overall handling system. They also bolt to the stock mounting parts so that no cutting is required.
The 1.00-inch lowered design reduces the vehicle’s center of gravity and improves overall appearance and handling while the lightweight four-leaf design reduces sprung and un-sprung weight. The kit also include CNC-bent relocation brackets, Grade 8 hardware, polyurethane and rubber bushings and a pair of track-tested leaf springs.
