• 1936 Cord 810 Sportsman Convertible Coupe 288 CI, Automatic

Regal styling and mechanical innovation have made the Cord 810/812 automobiles the equivalent of automotive royalty, as demonstrated by this rare and beautiful 1936 Cord convertible coupe. Built on a 125-inch wheelbase, the front wheel drive Cord’s list of innovations is highlighted by the 2-barrel Lycoming 288 CI V-8 engine under its “coffin-nose” bodywork, which also featured pontoon fenders, a hidden gas cap, hideaway headlights and tapering contours. This Cord’s Maroon finish is highlighted by chromed bumpers and wheel covers and complemented by a Black leather interior incorporating needle gauges on an engine-turned bezel and an electric pre-select shifter on the steering column.
