This 1966 Chevy El Camino is one of four vehicles customized for the eBay Motors online series “BUILT.” All four vehicles are being auctioned for charity beginning this week.
eBay Motors launched the online series “BUILT” in July, following four shops as each worked on a unique vehicle that would be auctioned for charity. The series’ final episode will debut Tuesday, Sept. 4, the same day eBay Motors launches the online auction of the vehicles created for the series. The auction will run Sept. 4–14.The series challenged four top garages to build a vehicle with the base vehicles and parts sourced entirely from eBay. Fans of the series have been voting for their favorite vehicle throughout the course of the series. The winner will be announced in the series’ final episode.
Duran’s Quality Painting in Baldwin Park, California, outfitted a 1966 Chevy El Camino with a candy red paintjob and 350 crate motor. This auction will benefit the SEMA Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Mackey’s Hot Rods in Huntington Beach, California, customized a 1968 Chevy G20 van during the series, transforming it into a World-War-II-inspired hot rod with authentic airplane parts. The auction of the van will benefit the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund
Off Road Evolution in Fullerton, California, turned a 1970 Jeep Grand Cherokee Commando into a trail monster with a 350 Ram Jet engine, Nitto wheels and tires and King coil-over shocks. The Jeep auction will benefit the California Trail Users Coalition.
GSR Autosport in Lake Forest, California, transformed a 1984 Porsche 911 a rally car with Enkei wheels, Pirelli tires and Recaro seats. This auction will benefit SEMA Cares.
The four vehicles will be displayed at the SEMA Show, which takes place Oct. 30–Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas.
