Newly Expanded “Saturday Night Special”
According to Crane Cams Inc., the company has expanded its basic “Saturday Night Special” program for budget-minded oval-track competitors. In addition to an application-matched Crane flat tappet cam, lifters and a set of extruded-aluminum roller rocker arms (shown), variations—including roller cams and lifters plus shaft-mount rocker arms—are now available. The cams come from Crane’s vast arsenal of specialized profiles and are tailored to the racer’s specific engine/chassis/track combination. “Saturday Night Special” packages are also
offered with roller cams and lifters, as well as shaft-mount rocker arms. Camshafts are available custom ground to the desired specs of the engine builder.
