Wilwood Disc Brakes has introduced a new line of ProSpindles designed for custom suspensions configured around Pinto/Mustang II geometry. The standard height ProSpindle version can be used for applications where a stock ride height is being maintained. The 2-inch drop version is utilized when a lower ride height is desired but the user does not want to disturb the suspension geometry, said the company.
The one-piece forged steel body is lightweight and the bolt-on steering arms allow the same spindle to be used on either side of the vehicle. The steering arms may also be inverted to help make corrections for bump steer based on steering linkage location. The spindle is ½-inch taller than OE spindles, which raises the front roll center geometry for improved handling, said the company.
ProSpindles use common Pinto and Mustang II tie rod ends, ball joints, wheel bearings and seals.
