Museum presented by RM Auctions Featuring Pumps on Parade – Wednesday, October 6th
Hershey, PA (August 26). If you’re a car lover there’s only one place to be in early October and that’s the AACA Fall Meet in Hershey, PA. Get pumped with the AACA Family for a fully fueled and unforgettable Night at the Museum presented by the world’s largest collector auction house – RM Auctions, featuring Pumps on Parade as we jump start another great Meet Week in Hershey!
This year’s auction will feature “Pumps on Parade.” One-of-a-kind vintage gas pumps custom designed by six of the country’s most celebrated automotive artists: Roger Blanchard - “Maserlene”, Ken Eberts - “You Can Trust Your Car to The Man Who Wears the Star”, Dan McCrary - “Oxide Premium”, Tony Sikorski - “Cruisin’ The USA”, David Snyder – “Flying Horses” and Sue Steele Thomas – “Visions in Motion”. The artists are showcasing their unique styles and painting directly on a replica gas pump, donating each one-of-a-kind piece of art to the AACA Club, Library and Museum. The gas pumps will be auctioned Wednesday evening, October 6th as a feature of the "Night at the Museum" Gala. All pumps will be on display in the AACA Museum’s lobby until the auction on October 6th. Mail bids. Please consult the attached Meet the Artist document for bio information and photos of these wonderful artists.Enjoy an evening of fun, fellowship and all that is automotive as guests fill up on a full service of food and High-Octane Fluids along with a program by our Master Mechanics including Bill Warner. Period era or gas station attire is encouraged. Festivities will run from 6-10PM and will include a discussion with the Pump Artists. Live auction items will be rounded out with an original fine art painting by automotive artist Dan Reed and a restored pedal car as well as a variety of silent auction items. Tickets are $150 per person and all proceeds benefit the AACA Family – Club, Library, and Museum. The AACA Museum will also be showcasing a variety of special exhibits over Meet Week:
Ash and Maple Marvels: Wood Bodied Cars 1914 to 1953 will explore this subject with a 25
vehicle display that covers the entire history of wood as the actual structural exterior finish elements
in the body of the car, truck or station wagon. Exhibit sponsored by Librandi’s Plating, Machining & Rack Manufacturing.
1930 Willys-Knights Great Six Plaidside Cars: Collector Mr. Al Giddings has graciously agreed to
display two extraordinary vehicles from his private collection. The Phaeton is the only one known to exist
and the Roadster is one of nine known to exist.
David Snyder Automotive Art Exhibit: The Nationally recognized automotive artist will display
his award winning paintings and prints in the Upper Level Rotunda.
Two-Wheeled Treasures of the Dennis Carpenter Collection: An eclectic mix of more than twenty
antique motorcycles, motorbikes and cushman.
All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and their Buses

The Antique Auto Museum at Hershey, a member of the Smithsonian Institute Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1900’s – 1970’s in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco. This Museum, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is one of the nation’s newest and largest automotive museums. Special exhibits change several times a year and focus on a variety of eras and types of vehicles. The Museum is located just off Route 39, one mile west of Hersheypark Drive in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
