Edelbrock has just released its new line of E-Series cylinder heads for small-block Chevys. The E-210 Cylinder Heads offer up to 500 naturally aspirated horsepower, and even more in forced induction applications, according to the company.
The heads are made from A356 aluminum castings that are heat-treated to T-6 specifications. Features include larger-than-stock intake and exhaust ports for improved engine efficiency. The heads also have hardened spring cups, as well as the company’s Heli-Coil threaded inserts for exhaust flanges, to help to protect against long-term wear.
The E-210 Cylinder Heads feature 3/8-inch rocker studs. Two different valve spring options are available to accomodate a variety of camshafts.
The heads’ combustion chambers measure 64cc and the intake runners and exhaust ports have been revised for increased airflow, while maintaining full compatibility with off-the-shelf headers and hardware, said the company.
Additional qualities include manganese bronze valve guides and stainless steel valves with hardened tips. The heads are available bare; complete with springs that support up to 0.575-inch lift; or complete with springs that support up to 0.650-inch lift.
