If faced with opposite--tie rod too SMALL for control arm("spindle"): believe it or not, some have found that use of bigger control arms with smaller tie rods can be accomplished by using sheet metal from a discarded 'body'. Cut a strip in the shape of a trapezoid & 'roll' it to fit inside the arm-eye; it's just the correct thickness to make the tie rod fit snugly. Sound flimsy? The 'end-surface' doesn't turn inside the 'arm-eye'; turning is done by the knuckle inside the tie rod. HTH; & don't hold me liable!
