Thread: Poly or Rubber rebuild kit

Default Poly or Rubber rebuild kit

    Gday all,

Just in the process of fixing up my 63 Impala. I am on quite a tight budget so am tossing up whether to go for the standard rubber or the Poly front suspension rebuild kit.
    Any thoughts?

For the slight cost differance, the Poly plus is the way to go. Longer life on the bushings and a slightly firmer ride without the noise and squeak of a traditional Poly only bushing.

I would agree with going with polly too. I went rubber when I first got the Monte 10 years ago, and the front bushings are cracking already. I replaced the rear with aftermarket arms (with polly bushing) when I did the rear end project. Now I need to go back and do the front all over
