    Hi Folks
Over the next few months we are working on our 41 Chevy half ton. This will give you loads of information to help you repair or modify any year truck or car but give you a close look at some of the average rust repair and mods found on these 39 to early 47 Chevy truck.

Just brought this home from Fall Carlisle, and can't wait to get a good look at what it will take to make it presentable.

This cab is from South Dakota but it hasn't come with out it's rust, and dents it has plenty.

The roof has most the damage along with a holes and gashes.

    Thanks Steve

I've had the cab for about a week now but I ordered a new set of clutch drivers because the interior is loaded with those pesky little clutch heads.

Even armed with my new assortment I still ended up cutting a straight screw slot in about half of them.

    Thanks Steve

I cleaned out about six yards of S. Dakota top soil from the inside of the cab and just keep finding more.

If that's not bad enough I have to contend with some one getting happy with there new gas welding outfit.

Well I'm heading up to the shop today to see if I can start making progress instead of just house cleaning......
    Thanks Steve

Didn't get a pile done but got to use my new clutch screw bits. But unfortunately they only took out some light interior screws and when it came to the hinge hardware they just rounded out the holes .
So to combat that I drilled an 1/8 inch hole very careful to go straight threw the center of the bolt. Once I got threw, I went up to a 1/4 inch drill, and last with a 5/16 which is the tap size drill bit for a 3/8 bolt.

And a half hour later, the hinge was out and ready to tap.
    Thanks Steve
