    Default 5.5 suspension drop/wheel backspacing

Can i do a 5.5 spindle/spring drop on a 1970 1/2 ton suburban front end and put a 20" rim underneath it without rubbing the tires? If so, what does my backspacing need to be for the rims? I am thinking about the Boss Motorsports 335 or the ARE TT II's?

With the new CPP Modular drop spindle; this keeps the track with at 0 offset on original drum trucks and on original disc trucks it tucks the wheel in over 1" per side so your 20" wheels should not be a problem. I always recommend installing the brakes and taking the backspace measurements your wheel mfg needs so you get the best fit.
