When is the new CPP50003-1 500 series box going to be available?

I read about a new 3/4" shorter 500 series box that will be available for the 64 Impala on the layitlow forum.

I called the tech line but the best they could tell me was "a couple of months". I would rather not order the old style of box if no one can say for sure whether it will fit without hitting or not.

It was mentioned CPP told him it would be available in two weeks. Apparently Jeff on the tech line ext. 118 told him this. This was back in January.

It would be nice to have an accurate estimate when it will be available for purchase.

Not responding after this long gives a pretty good idea how good or should I say crappy your customer service probably is. Thumbs down.

Sorry for the delay in response; There is not a release date for a new casting as of yet. My best ETA is 3-6 months still.

These steering boxes are pretty tight from the factory and will lossen up some when hydraulics are introduced into the mix... So this should be nothing to be concerned about.
